Sept 20 - 24, 2018
Scholarship Application Deadline
May 1, 2018APPLY TODAY!
During the day there will be portions of the house reserved for working which means they are designated and fiercely guarded quiet zones. There will also be spaces available for networking or general noisiness.
All meals will be prepared for you. We ask that you assist in kitchen clean-up once during the retreat. Upon arrival everyone will be given one kitchen shift for a pre-determined day and time. All shifts are teams, so you'll never be on your own!
After dinner we break into groups for evening discussion. These discussions are lead by a few veteran authors and are a chance to focus on how we think about our careers as writers. Once those discussions are over, the rest of the night is for fun and relaxation.
Please note: the event will be facilitated by two white Madcap staff members: Tessa Gratton and Natalie C. Parker.
The cost covers your room and all meals while at the retreat. Everyone will have a single kitchen shift for either meal prep or clean-up to keep things running smoothly. Alcohol is not provided, but you are always welcome to bring your own. Transportation is on your own, but we will help facilitate ride share and shuttles if there's need.
WHEN ARE PAYMENTS DUE?
A 50% deposit is due two weeks after acceptance in order to reserve your spot at the retreat. Final payments are due by July 19th.
A sixty (60) day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date will forfeit 50% of total retreat rate. Cancellations less than forty-five (45) days prior to arrival date forfeit 100% of total workshop rate.
Austin Bergstrom is 50 miles away.
